Gibraltar Flag Quiz
A flag-specific question bank for Gibraltar, focused on the artwork, proportions, colours, symbols and documented design details. Complete the questions, then review the answers against the same structured record used by the reference page.
Building your question bank…
What the Flag Quiz is designed to teach
The quiz is built for flag knowledge rather than general country trivia. Questions are drawn from flag-specific fields such as colours, proportions, visible symbols, design family, adoption information and other details stored in the record. Capitals, currencies, population figures and unrelated geography are deliberately excluded from the core question bank.
That focus matters because recognising a flag and understanding its construction are different skills. A player may identify Canada instantly but still need to learn its 2:1 proportion or the structure of the maple-leaf design. A less familiar flag may become easier to remember once its colour layout or central symbol is understood.
Mixed quiz or individual flag practice?
The mixed world quiz tests recognition across the collection and is useful for broad practice. Individual flag banks narrow the questions to one record and are better for learning details after you have identified a weak spot. A score should be treated as feedback on the questions shown, not as a formal measure of geographic knowledge.
How to improve instead of memorising answer positions
When an answer is wrong, open the flag record and look at the feature that caused the mistake. For colour questions, compare the palette. For proportion questions, notice the shape before reading the number. For symbol questions, look at where the charge sits on the field. For similar flags, use Compare Flags to put the two records side by side.
Question quality and data quality
The quiz can only be as accurate as the record behind it. Questions are therefore tied to structured flag fields rather than generated from unrelated country facts. If a date, colour, proportion or symbol description is corrected in the underlying record, the goal is for the quiz and reference page to stay synchronized. Use Sources and Corrections when a question appears to rely on a bad field.
For pure visual recognition
If you want a faster image-only challenge, use Guess the Flag. It removes the detail questions and asks you to identify one displayed flag from four names.
